At present, there doesn't seem to be any provision to screen Angelina Ballerina's Christmas special (The Show Must Go On), but if I get any details, you'll see them here first......

The Story Store turns up on Living. There was only 13 episodes originally, plus a Christmas Special (which Colin didn't write the score for). Details are thin on the ground, so I didn't know which episode will be show each day; it's just a question of pot-luck!

Sky Movies 3 will be showing Money Kings in the early hours of Tuesday 23rd December at 00.45

The credits to Angelina Ballerina has now been updated in the Animations section

And now for a few bits of info on what Colin's been up to lately:

Colin was in the studio a couple of weeks ago recording the music for Crimson River 2 - Angels Of The Apocalypse with an 80 piece orchestra, and is now in the process of mixing it. It's a French film by Luc Besson, with subtitles and is directed by Olivier Dahan and stars Jean Reno. It's due for release in France in mid-February, but as yet there's no release date set for the UK

Anyone gone to see the new Rod Stewart musical Tonight's The Night, at the Palace Theatre, London? Well, Colin has done the orchestrations for the show. Strange or what!?!?

And if you've been anywhere near the Theatr Clywd, Wales recently, you'll have noticed that Colin has written the music for the play The Crucible. I'm not sure if it's still running, but if you do go and see it, how about letting me know what the music is like?

Well, that's about it for now. See ya soon.........

23rd October 2003:

Fans of Catherine Cookson are in for a bit of a treat. UK Drama are set to show the full adaptations of two of her best known novels, namely The Tide Of Life and The Rag Nymph; originally shown on ITV1 in January 1996 and October 1997 respectively:

  • The Tide Of Life on Saturday 1st November at 21.00, repeated a little later in the early hours of Sunday 2nd November at 01.05
  • The Rag Nymph on Sunday 2nd November at 21.00, repeated a little later in the early hours of Monday 3rd November at 00.55

More Essex Boys on Sky!

  • on Movies Max 4 on Thursday 6th November at 22.40
  • on Movies Max 2 on Thursday 13th November at midnight
  • on Movies Max 2 on Monday 17th November at 22.20

And more Between The Lines (first series) on UK Drama as follows:

  • episode 2: Words Of Advice on Thursday 30th October at 22.50, repeated a little later in the early hours of Friday 31st October at 02.50
The film, Sex And Chocolate, starring Dawn French and Phil Daniels, first broadcast on BBC1 in October 1997, makes a welcome return to UK Gold in the early hours of Saturday 1st November at 01.20

Finally (and surprisingly!), there have been new episodes of Angelina Ballerina playing on the children's channel Nick Junior over the last week or two. The channel is running two different episodes in a 30 minute time slot, twice a day, every day until further notice. The only draw-back is that I'm not able to give you the episode titles (since they are not available to me), so it's pretty much pot-luck which episodes are shown each day

  • on Thursday 23rd October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Friday 24th October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Saturday 25th October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Sunday 26th October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Monday 27th October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Tuesday 28th October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Wednesday 29th October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Thursday 30th October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Friday 31st October at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Saturday 1st November at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Sunday 2nd November at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Monday 3rd November at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Tuesday 4th November at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
  • on Wednesday 5th November at 10.30, repeated later the same day at 16.00
Apparently, the new episodes were first broadcast in the USA over 12 months ago, but I only know about the first 26 episodes and was not aware of any others. Because of this, I don't know how many titles are in this 'new' series. While I'm talking about Angelina Ballerina, a new DVD, called 'The Show Must Go On' was released here in the UK last week. Again, I understand this was originally broadcast in the USA last Christmas, so maybe it'll turn up on our screens this year. Fingers crossed, eh? Check out Angelina's site here

It also looks like there will be a CD of music released commercially in the next few weeks, mainly of classic ballet favourites, but I'm under the impression Colin's theme from the series will also be included. I'll keep you posted when I know what's happening, and when's it's going to be released

By for now.........

You can find all the details on how to get hold of it on the intro page. The CD itself is pretty hard to acquire elsewhere and would make a great addition to your CT collection. The offer is only open to us for a short time and apparently there are only a few copies of the CD left. I have been advised that once this title has sold out completely Provocateur will not be re-printing any more. You have been warned!
