Noah's Ark - episode titles & synopsis
There were two series of Noah's Ark, Colin scoring the music to both of them. Below are the titles and synopsis for each episode:
First Series
- Episode 1 - Two Of A Kind - Noah Kirby's wife, Valerie, is used to his chaotic
working methods, but his son Tom is determined to change the way the practice operates. Tom
clashes with his father over the treatment of a poisoned shire horse; then a pair of rare
birds leads him to meet wildlife specialist Clare Somers
- Episode 2 - Matters Of Principle - Noah goes after an unscrupulous dealer after
being forced to destroy a little girl's pet pony. A lemur puts Tom and Clare on the trail
of some smuggled exotic animals and some recent arrivals in Melton. Nicky and Cath Baldwin
have terrible trouble with some pot-bellied pigs
- Episode 3 - Paying The Price - Noah's reputation is in tatters after the death of
a valuable cow. He is also powerless to help a smallholder treated with eviction - until
Tom and Clare make an unexpected discovery while searching for a missing badger cub
- Episode 4 - Healing Touch - When Clare introduces Tom to her friend Liza, who
has a sick shire horse, she is shocked to find they seem strongly attracted to each other.
Noah's help is required to treat the animal, but events bring Tom and Liza even closer
together. At home, Val decides it's her turn to take in a stray
- Episode 5 - Live And Learn - A mysterious meeting sends Tom and Clare on an
adventure to rescue a golden eagle. Val forces Noah to think seriously about his plans for
the practice - and whether they include Tom
- Episode 6 - Family Matters - With the help of Noah and Val, a local man with learning difficulties finds that he can look after himself - and his pet dog. When Clare and Tom get to grips with a kick-boxing ostrich, she turns out to be made of sterner stuff. And Tom must face up to a big decision
