Lord Seadown's mistress Idina, are ready for their first major assault on the English
aristocracy
- Episode 3 - Ambush - The Buccaneers continue to take English society by storm.
However, Virginia has discovered that Lord Seadown has married her for her money, and
Conchita, carrying Lord Richard's child, is already disillusioned by her marriage. Nan,
disappointed by Guy's departure to South America, has received a proposal of marriage from
Julius
- Episode 4 - Capture - Virginia has produced an heir, but when her father is
ruined, she is left in the hands of the poverty stricken Brightlingsea family. Lizzy has
married the rising MP Hector Robinson, and Conchita has discovered she is carrying
her lover's child. Nan, now the Duchess if Trevenick, has lost the child, unhappily
conceived with Julius, and is conforted by Laura as well as the news of Guy's return
